The Art of Developing
a Healthy Writing Practice

How does living a healthy life contribute to healthy and sustainable writing practice?

Writing may seem to be an entirely cognitive activity, and of course so much does happen within the realm of thought, but I want to propose an alternate way of writing. Thought is the final place from which an idea can come to fruition.

It’s when we keep writing continually we can begin to consciously put things together in a way that feels like uniquely our voice. A lot of writing is noticing threads and patterns, but that can be difficult when there is so much we’re carry around that’s disorganized.

Once we disentangle the mess we can begin to weave something new.

What Happens
When We Write?

Writing wakes us up to the world around us. Practicing writing on a continual basis allows you to notice and discern patterns over time, which can lead to breakthroughs.

Writing combined with healthy living practicies facilitate self-discovery that can transform excavated material into art. Bascic Tenets of this approach:

SELF AS SUBJECT

Lessons revolve around using the self as the starting point. Just because writing starts with the self doesn’t mean that it stays there.

Investigating your own experience facilitates the development of a voice.

WRITING WITH YOUR WHOLE BODY

Everything you do before you get to the page to write or type it out matters. Thought is the final place from which an idea can come to fruition.

SUPPORTING THE EDITING PROCESS

Transforming our inner self requires mind and body support through breath, movement and nutraceuticals and repetition.

How can we return to the work in a supported way?
